I remember walking into my grandparents' house on Heidrich Street and always being offered a glass of freshly brewed iced sweet tea. The slightly sweet rich bold aroma always gave me a sense of welcome, relaxation, love, and comfort. In our family tea is not just tea. It is the atmosphere it creates; it is the memories that will last forever, and the tradition it roots to exist.

Throughout my adult life, I have searched for that tea.

I have become a sweet tea critic. I don’t like it too sweet.

I don’t like it too strong. I must have it just right.

 There has not been one place where I can find the perfect sweet tea other than in my own kitchen. Remembering the exact way my grandparents made it.
